Lhunze County of Shannan City, China's Xizang, was once a sand dune area. After decades of afforestation by local people, it has become a "Green Great Wall" stretching over 40 kilometers with an area of 50 square kilometers. In 2019, it was certified by the World Record Certification Agency (WRCA) as the "World's Largest Contiguous Artificially Planted Seabuckthorn Area".
